When I arrived in Haiti the first time in 2015, I was afraid and uncomfortable being around handicapped children and adults. The last thing on my mind was spending any time with special needs children at the orphanage we were staying at. God had different plans and used handicapped children there to change my life.

When Kevin and I united in marriage, I joined his cause with Big Step and God has used it to grow me in so many ways. I am learning patience until I can meet everyone when travel is safe again. And I am learning to join forces with others with the gifts and strengths we need to help grow what Kevin started.

Big Step Missions supports the special needs program at New Life Children's Home in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti through donations and employs a team of three full-time physical therapy technicians for the orphans who live there.

Big Step Missions provides funding for disadvantaged, disabled children and adults living at the home to receive rehab materials, tools and care to increase their quality of life. We network and connect professionals and volunteers with those special needs individuals to ensure they have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
